Dear Mary & the Clow Family;
I just learned of the passing of my “old friend” Rick & shed a tear. I want to express my empathies to you all.
We became friends way back in 1978 on a trip to Block Island, with a stop over at Snug Harbor in Montauk. We had engine problems & Rick jumped aboard to save the day. He asked if he could follow me to Block, & years later went on to travel the entire globe.
We lost touch for a few years & reconnected on Block Island many years later when he came to be at the next mooring to ours at Great Salt Pond with Mary. We renewed our friendship & stayed in touch, but after the loss of my wife Jane in 2012, we did not reconnect at Block.
So many wonderful stories & memories of Rick will remain in my heart forever. I am so blessed we shared some of these together.
With all my prayers for you & your family, & of course Rick.
With loving concern.
Your friend,
CHUCK (Bove)

Rick, we never met but as Mary loved you, I would have as well. May your new ocean have fair winds to travel on, enough chop to keep you on your toes with sunshine and puffy clouds to smile into, lastly with glowing sunsets then stars to glory over. There will be eternal joy with memories galore for all. RIP
