Obituary of William Robert Patterson

William Robert Patterson, Sr. was born on September 25, 1936 in Valhalla, NY and went home to be with the Lord on January 28, 2017. After graduation from Irvington High School and a tour in the army, he married Angela Vano of Dobbs Ferry. They have four children; CarolAnne (Bayardo) Velarde, William Jr. (Julie), Wendy (Ken) Schneider, and Douglas (Annette), and seven grandchildren. The family relocated from NY to Florida in 1974. William worked in construction prior to his retirement from Brevard County Road and Bridge in 2000. He was an usher at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Palm Bay, and enjoyed calling/playing bingo and spending time with his family. Visiting hours are 5 -8 p.m., Wednesday, February 1st at Ammen Family Cremation & Funeral Care, 950 Malabar Rd, SE, Palm Bay, 321-724-2224. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m.,Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1422 Miller St., Palm Bay with interment to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to William Childs Hospice House in appreciation of the loving care William received while in their care.
