Obituary of Doris B. Wisniewski
Doris B. Wisniewski, 98, died Sunday, May 29, 2016 in her sleep following a stroke. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, March 9, 1918.
She was predeceased by her two brothers, Leroy Hart, of Marathon and Indian Harbour Beach, FL and Gordon Hart of San Antonio, TX. She is survived by her nieces Lauri Hart of Indian Harbour Beach, FL and Courtney Price of Denver, CO.
Doris spend many years in the Chicago suburbs with her husband of over 50 years, Frank, who was a Navy Veteran. They were avid bowlers and card players. After retiring, they moved to Florida, initially in the Miami area and then bought a home in Lakes of Melbourne in the mid 1980’s. There they spent many happy years socializing with other residents, joining in the many community programs that were offered and taking up golf. She was a faithful member of New Hope Lutheran Church.
In December of 2011, Doris suffered a fall and shattered her ankle bone. Surgery was performed to increase her chances of walking. Unfortunately, she was no longer able to live alone and became a resident of Hibiscus Court Assisted Living. In the summer of 2014, her condition deteriorated and she required more care, moving to Atlantic Shores Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where she last resided..A service will be held June 21, 2016, at 11:30 am at the Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 1001 Hickory St., Melbourne, FL, tel: 321-724-2222.Any donations should be made to Vitas Hospice, 4450 W.
