Obituary of Edward Anthony Pratt

Edward Anthony Pratt, 86, of Melbourne, Florida, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 4th, 2018 at his home surrounded by his wife and children. He was born in Brooklyn, New York to Anthony and Emily Pratt. Edward is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaret, son Steven Pratt, daughter Carolyn Nave, grandchildren Melissa Stumreiter, Madeline Nave, Jensen Pratt, Mia Nave, sister Marie Weidler and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. Edward was an adoring husband, loving father and grandfather, and friend to all. Edward retired as a Lt. Colonel in the USAF after 32 years of service. He served in Korea and Vietnam where he was awarded the Bronze Star as well as many other decorations. His love of airplanes and logistics lead him to 18 years with ISI providing logistical support for international sales of airplanes. Edward traveled extensively with his wife Margaret for both work and pleasure. He loved to entertain friends and family playing the guitar and singing. Edward’s mechanical aptitude and love of fixing things was reflected in his 20 years of aviation maintenance and his extensive tool collection. Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00pm at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 1001 South Hickory Street, Melbourne, FL. Funeral services for Edward will be at Arlington National Cemetary, date to be determined.
