Obituary of Geraldine Suzanne Gergely

Geraldine Suzanne Gergely (nee Lightner), age 73, passed away Monday, November 6, 2017 at Kindred Hospital in Melbourne, Florida following a lengthy illness. Born July 15, 1944, Geri lived in Lorain, Ohio for many years before moving to Palm Bay, Florida for retirement. She enjoyed travel and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, James, of Palm Bay, FL; sons Jeff (Deborah) Costello of Atlanta, GA and Steven Gergely of Ohio; grandchildren Antony Costello and Norah Costello of Atlanta, GA and Nikole Gergely of Ohio; sisters Jane (Roger) Nelson of Lorain, OH, and Judy (David) Amato of Glendale, AZ; nephews James (Terry) Nelson of Palm Bay, FL, Tony (Linda) Amato of Glendale, AZ, Daniel Lightner of Albuquerque, NM, Michael (Lori) Gergely of Vermilion, OH, and Kenneth (Alison) Gergely of Roanoke, VA; nieces Linda (Brian) Sims of Sheffield Lake, OH, Cathy (Albert) Torres of Lorain, OH, Pamela Amato of Arizona, Lisa (Michael) Guesman of Cortland, OH, Sandy Rivera of New Mexico, and Denise DiLuciano of Amherst, OH; She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Lightner; mother, Miriam Lightner (nee Murray); and brothers Thomas Lightner and William Lightner. A service will be on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 2:30 PM, at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 1001 Hickory Street, Melbourne FL 32901.
