Obituary of Dorothy F. Bean

Dorothy F. Bean, age 84, of Melbourne, FL passed away on Monday, November 26, 2018. Dorothy was born in Amesbury, Massachusetts on March 7, 1934 to the late Frank John Bear, Sr. and Mary F. Bourque. Dorothy graduated from The Shepard-Gill School of Practical Nursing, Boston, Massachusetts in 1960. Dorothy was employed as a Practical Nurse at Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro, NH and also at Portsmouth Regional Hospital, in Portsmouth, NH. After her retirement she moved to Melbourne, FL. Dorothy was predeceased by her brother, Robert E. Bean, of Cumming Georgia, and her sister, Madaline Wheeler, of Camarillo, CA. Dorothy is survived by 3 brothers, Frank (Lorraine) of Massachusetts, and brothers Melvin Bean, and Edward (Linda) Bean of New Hampshire, and 2 sisters, Marylynn (Cliff) of New Hampshire, and Beverly (Ron) Heuer of Melbourne FL. Dorothy is also survived by her friend of 52 years, Beverly Mahan of Melbourne, FL. In 1966, Dorothy and Bev met in Wolfeboro, NH where they both worked at Huggins Hospital. Their friendship continued thru many years. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 11AM at Suntree United Methodist Church, 7400 North Wickham Road, Melbourne, FL. Luncheon to follow the service at the Church.
