A truly one of a kind good, decent man with a huge heart. I have not had the pleasure of seeing you in a long time, but have many great, fun memories of the times we spent together. You were a good cook, a patient fisherman, a fun loving man who loved the ocean and surfing and good ole rock n roll! You were another brother to me and I love you forever. I am happy that you are reunited with your furbaby Tootsie and your BFF, Clay….forever in heaven with no more sad or painful days. Now you can go rest high and keep up with those of us that will forever love and cherish you, a wonderful brother I loved and enjoyed being around in our time. Godspeed Rick. ♥️
I love you, Karen

So many years ago when Rick Johnson was an important part of my life, he taught me the importance of being your own self and I remember listening to this Peter Gabriel song with him and he expounded philosophically on how this was going to be him one day and he was alright with that. I miss that man but hope he is home now.
Climbing up on Solsbury Hill
I could see the city light
Wind was blowing, time stood still
Eagle flew out of the night
He was something to observe
Came in close, I heard a voice
Standing, stretching every nerve
Had to listen, had no choice
I did not believe the information
Just had to trust imagination
My heart going boom, boom, boom
“Son”, he said, “grab your things, I’ve come to take you home”
To keep in silence I resigned
My friends would think I was a nut
Turning water into wine
Open doors would soon be shut
So I went from day to day
Though my life was in a rut
‘Til I thought of what I’ll say
Which connection I should cut
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom, boom, boom
“Hey”, he said, “grab your things, I’ve come to take you home”
(Hey, back home)
When illusion spin her net
I’m never where I want to be
And liberty she pirouette
When I think that I am free
Watched by empty silhouettes
Who close their eyes but still can see
No one taught them etiquette
I will show another me
Today I don’t need a replacement
I’ll tell them what the smile on my face meant
My heart going boom, boom, boom
“Hey”, I said, “you can keep my things, they’ve come to take me home”

My beloved Bub. You will live on forever in my heart. ❤️ We shared the best days of our lives.
‘For all the shut down strangers and hot rod angels,
Rumbling through this promised land
Tonight my baby and me, we’re gonna ride to the sea
And wash these sins off our hands’

I always enjoyed being around Rick when I came to visit. He had a special talent for showing a city girl how to have fun in the country. RIP Rick. You will be missed!!
Love,
Putzy

Gonna miss you dude. From being Best Man when I got married to living right down the street in Ramrod, all the cook outs, fishin trips and just good ole hangin out, you were always a good friend. We’re gonna miss you Rick.
Love,
Debi
