Obituary of Lawrence Otis Hinton
Lawrence Otis Hinton, age 76, of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018 in his house after a battle with cancer.
He was born on August 2, 1942 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to Pell and Annie B. (Horton) Hinton.
Lawrence joined the Army and served for little over 2 years.
“Pop” worked in the Police Department in New York as a 3rd Grade Detective; also worked as a security officer in a correction facility and as a Security Officer at The Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas and in the Double Tree Hotel.
As a young man, he was a basketball player who played for the Fort Gordon Signal.
He love it so much that tater on in life when he worked as a police officer he played for the Police Department and on his spare time he played with friends and grandchildren.
He will be forever remembered and cherished by his lovely wife, Dolores Hinton and by his children Crystal Parsons and Anthony Bishop.
In addition to his children, “Pop”, “Poppi”, “Poppi” as everyone remember him, survived by his grandson Sean Bishop; grandson Antonio Bishop; grandson Christopher Parsons; granddaughter Tiffany Bishop; granddaughter Alyssa Bishop; grandson TJ Bishop; grandson Justin Bishop; grandson Damon Bishop; great granddaughters Ebony Parsons, Alexis Parsons, Jasmine Parsons and Mercedes Parsons; great grandson Julian Bishop.
