Obituary of Gladys H. Clune

Gladys H. Clune, age 96, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Grand Villa Senior Living Community of Melbourne, Florida under the care of Hospice and the wonderful staff at Grand Villa. Born December 18, 1922 in Rockville Centre, Long Island, N.Y. to Louis & Luella Hohler.  A Graduate of Oceanside High School, Gladys lived in Oceanside, L.I., Massapequa, L.I. and Melbourne, Florida. Gladys was married to her beloved husband John L. Clune for 52 years.  John preceded her in death. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great, great grandmother, she is survived by her daughters Donna Kosch of Burke, VA, Susan Kempey of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, and Cathy Clune of Titusville, FL.  She is preceded in death by her daughter Patricia Carlson of Ocala, FL.  She is survived by her sister Marion Charles of Towanda, PA, and preceded in death by her sister Evelyn Alabaster of Greensboro, NC. Gladys made friends everywhere she went and called everyone “Honey” which they fondly remember. Gladys will be laid to rest with her husband at Calverton National Cemetery, L.I., N.Y.
