Obituary of Greta Marie Huffman

Greta Marie Huffman, 75, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Health First Medical Center with her children at her side. She was born in Hickory, NC on February 22, 1940 and moved to Melbourne in 1964. Marie was a homemaker and a former employee of Dictaphone and Harris Corp both of Melbourne, FL. She was a member of The First Baptist Church of Melbourne since 1994, and a volunteer with Aging Matters and Palm Bay Senior Center. She was also an animal lover and rescuer who never turned away a stray. Marie is survived by her son Bobby R Huffman Jr (Laurie) of Melbourne, FL; daughter Gia L Nichols (David) of Canton, GA; and six grandchildren, Kiel, Kristal, Allison, Haley, Adam and Lindsey; two brothers Randy and Todd Salyards of Hickory NC and many cousins. Marie had friends in her neighborhood that were very caring and always looked after her over the years.
