Obituary of Inge Baity

Melbourne – Inge Coppenhagen Baity, 88, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019. Born in Potsdam, Germany, she moved to Melbourne in 1999 from Charleston, South Carolina. Inge always had an eye for business and a love of animals. She owned multiple pet stores during her time in Charleston and many folks here in Melbourne will know of her from her crafts and shell shop at the Rennigers Flea Market. A devoted and loving mother and grandmother, her family includes her son, Richard Baity and his wife Jennifer, and her grandson, Robert F. Baity, II, of Cocoa, Florida. Viewing for family and friends will be Thursday, March 7, 2019 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, Melbourne. Services to follow at 12 p.m. Inge will be laid to rest with her husband of 52 years, Maj. Robert F. Baity at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. Donations can be made in her name to Florida Wildlife Hospital and Sanctuary, 4560 U.S. Hwy 1, Melbourne, Florida 32935.
