Obituary of Mary Lejean Kats

~ Palm Bay, Florida ~ Mary Lejean Kats, age 80, passed away at Palm Bay Hospital on Saturday, July 7, 2018. Born in Danville, Illinois on March 12, 1938 to John Montgerard and Theresa Hall, Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Mary was a homemaker and former Administrative Assistant at Robertson Transformer Company in Blue Island, Illinois, Mary took great pride in her work and spent her latter years relaxing and enjoying retirement while living in Florida with her sister Shirley Gilliam and longtime friend Ron Ross. Left to mourn her loss is her sister Shirley, of Palm Bay, Florida; son Tim Cheek, of Zionsville, Indiana; grandchildren Season Carnes and family of Oklahoma; Kyle Wise and family of Texas; Adam Cheek and family of South Bend, Indiana; Andrea McKee(Cheek) and husband Jeremy McKee and family of Rochester, Indiana; and Abby Cheek and family of Warsaw, Indiana. Mary was preceded in death by her beloved son Jeffrey Allen Cheek and his father Gerald Cheek. At the family’s request, please forego sending flowers.  Mary will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
