Obituary of David Carroll Leathers

David Carroll Leathers passed away in his sleep at his home in Melbourne, FL on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at the age of 65. David is predeceased by his parents, Carroll L. and Esther M. Leathers, and his brother, Allen L. Leathers. David is survived by his loving son Shawn Leathers. David is lovingly remembered by his son Shawn Leathers of Somersworth, NH; Shawn’s mother Barbara Bayliss, and Shawn’s sister Cara Bayliss, granddaughters Victoria Leathers, Makayla Leathers, Katelynn Leathers and Arebella Leathers; David’s sister, Diana (Leathers) Seroski and husband Ronald Seroski of Palm Bay, FL, sister Beverly Leathers of Dover, NH, sister Nancy (Leathers) Forzese and husband Joseph Forzese of Lawrence, MA; Brother Charles K. Leathers and wife Jane M. Leathers of Palm Bay, FL; and many loving nieces, nephews and other relatives. David was born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire in 1953. He graduated from Portsmouth Senior High School in 1971 and went on to serve the US Navy and US Air Force and retired from active duty on June 1994. David enjoyed painting, watching sports, especially baseball, as well as movies, music, reading and spending time with his family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be planned this Spring so as to allow David’s many family and friends to attend. Date of this event will be forthcoming.
