Obituary of William Joseph Casenhiser
Bill, 79, passed away suddenly at his Melbourne home Sunday evening. He is survived by Elaine, his wife of 57 years, and their five children Edward Casenhiser (Kathryn), Susan Mazzeo (Vincent), William Casenhiser Jr. (Suzanne), Stephen Casenhiser (Renata) and Kathleen Liatos (James); his eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Bill was born in Akron, Ohio on December 18, 1935 to Robert L. Casenhiser, Sr. and Mildred J. Lotze Casenhiser. He was the second of eleven children. He attended Saint Paul Catholic Grade School and Garfield High School in Akron.
While serving as a reservist for the United States Navy, he met Elaine, and they married at Saint Joseph+óGé¼Gäós Catholic Church in Massillon, Ohio in 1957. Bill worked for the Summit County Engineering Department as a road and bridge inspector before retiring to Palm Bay in 1987.
Elaine and Bill are parishioners at Saint Joseph+óGé¼Gäós Catholic Church in Palm Bay.

Calling hours will be on Thursday from 6-8 pm at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care in Melbourne. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 11 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5330 Babcock St, Palm Bay, FL.In lieu of flowers, Bill requested that donations be made to Brevard Achievement Center in Rockledge, FL in support of his granddaughter Michelle Mazzeo.
