I think I was two years old when l first felt there was a special bond between myAunt Irene and myself. I don’t know where my first name Glenda came from but it was clear to me where I got my middle name and how important I was to be chosen to have it. I have always tried to carry the name Glenda “Irene” with the same love and dignity as the lady who gave it to me. Aunt Irene always made me feel special. When I was 6 I believe she brought me a little red short outfit with red patent leather sandals and a purse to match. I just new I was queen for a day. She never failed to send Birthday and holiday cards. In 2010 she and Keith drove all the way to Johnston, South Carolina from Melbourne, Florida so she could be at my house warming and then turned around and went all the way back so she could be at another event because she did not want to disappoint me. What an amazing lady. I could go on and on about the wonderful things she has done for me throughout my lifetime. Truly, she will be miss greatly. Aunt Irene I take comfort in knowing that you are in the arms of God and He is very well please with your journey here on earth. Keith, thank you so much for all you special care and being there for your momma. She was so proud of all of her sons and how each of you grew into such wonderful strong gentlemen. My love and prayers go out to each of you for this tremendous loss in your lives.

Great Irene, We always seen each other in visits or passing. I loved your silly dry side of life. We only have one life and yours has been fulfilled on this earth.
