I met Margie in Newcastle, on the east coast of Australia, when she came to work at the company where I was. At 20 years old I was shy and na+â-»ve and she took me under her wing and we became friends, both at work and outside of work. We kept in touch for 30 years, from different sides of the world for most of that time, and my memory is of someone who gave so much of
herself and who was always happy to lend a hand and go that extra mile. I am so very sad to lose my dear friend but take comfort knowing that she’s now found peace.

Although I didn’t get to know Margie well, I know her daughter. You are a wonderful, caring, gracious person, Melissa which tells me your mother did her job raising you
I am so glad you are the love of my son’s life. God bless all of you, Mama Sheila

I grew up with Margie, referring to her as “mom” for the last 30 years. Her dedication to other’s happiness was unforgettable. Even though I lost touch with her and only knew of her status from my adopted sister, Missy, I won’t forget my years of knowing the true Margie and what she meant to us as a family. You will be missed mom.

Margie was such a generous person, both with her time and her willingness to help everyone. Harry and I send our condolences and pray that Margie has found the peace that eluded her over the past few years. We’re fortunate to have known Margie and loved her sweet, thoughtful nature.
