She is survived by her daughters, Louise L. Jenkins of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, and Gertrude R. Lindler of Gainesville, FL.; grandson, Keith Jenkins and granddaughter-in-law, Sarah Kotecki of San Diego, CA.
Emily was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur B. Lindler, Jr. of Palm Bay, FL; her son, Arthur "Buddy" B. Lindler, III of Palm Bay, FL; and her brothers, Wilfred Rivers and William Rivers of Leesburg, GA.
Emily was born in Columbia, SC and attended the University of South Carolina. After graduation, she worked at Langley Field, VA for the NACA (predecessor to NASA) where she was a mathematician analyst on the secret B52 bomber design and testing.

She loved the outdoors, watching birds and butterflies, and planting vegetable and flower gardens. If she pruned a plant, she could not throw the clipping away but had to plant it somewhere else. She loved to walk on the beach and pick up sea shells, especially at St. Augustine & Sanibel Island, FL. She loved going to the family cabin in Montreat, NC for hikes, picnicking and just sitting on the front porch in a rocking chair watching the hummingbirds.
Her favorite indoor activities were working crossword and sudoku puzzles and reading historical, romance & mystery novels.
She was great cook and faithful church-goer. She dedicated herself to taking care of Arthur and their children.
