Obituary of Agnes Elizabeth Antoine
A complex soul with a gentle heart, Agnes, who by her own account was happiest in the enduring roles she played in others lives, concluded her legacy of living on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at home. Born on January 1, 1924 to Albert and Agnes Scott in Saugus, Massachusetts, “Betty”, as she was known by those close to her, spent the better part of her life following her true love, Lloryel Antoine, as he journeyed through careers in the military (U.S. Navy) and later teaching. Married on November 5, 1949, after a two year courtship of endless love letters and occasional shore leave, they went on to have four children: David (Deborah), Steven, Laura, and Rebecca. Her children filled her heart with six wonderful grandchildren: Melissa, Samantha, Colleen, John, Jetson and Rocket. Betty was very fond of a niece, Mary Beth Carlin (daughter of her younger sister, Mary Ellen) as well as her husband's family: Loretta Avis, JoAnn Antoine and Jerry Antoine and all their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A family viewing will be held at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, Palm Bay followed by a private funeral service at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. FL.
