Obituary of Peter E. Trabold
Peter E. Trabold, 84, passed away March 7, 2019 in Melbourne, Florida. He was born in Rochester, New York, on December 25, 1934 to Oscar and Armella Trabold.
Peter graduated from St. John Fisher College and worked as an accountant for over four decades at various companies including Allied Chemical (now Honeywell) in Syracuse, NY, where he held several positions. After ten years at Allied he moved to the corporate headquarters in New Jersey for another ten years before returning to upstate New York to join the Hanlin Group as comptroller. He finished his career at Solvay Iron Works, retiring to the Space Coast region of Florida in 1998.
During retirement, Peter took many cruises with his wife and cherished spending time with his three children and five grandchildren. He valued his German heritage, even traveling to Germany for a Traboldtreffen family reunion with many cousins. He had a great interest in trains and was an active member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Elks Lodge, and Knights of Columbus.
Peter is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Anne C. Trabold; daughter Monica A. Trabold and son-in-law Greg Miner; daughter Mary C. Trabold; son Peter A. Trabold and daughter-in-law Dawn Dolan; grandchildren Evan Miner, Carolyn Miner, Meredith Miner, Griffin Trabold and Lyla Trabold. Peter was predeceased by his brother William Trabold and sister Norma Trabold.
Peter’s funeral mass will take place at Holy Ghost Church, 250 Coldwater Rd., Rochester, NY 14624, on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at 11:00 AM, followed by interment and a reception.
Peter received a Lifetime Achievement in Accounting award from his college.
