Obituary of Debra M. Cote

Debra M. Cote, 62, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 while holding the hands of her two children. She was the daughter of the late Lella Williams, step-father Max Williams and granddaughter of Lillian and Herbert Roach. Debbie was born in Atlanta, GA where she resided until moving to New Hampshire at 16 years old. She graduated from Alvirne High School in 1971 and eventually moved to Weare, NH to raise her children. After moving to Florida in 2001, she spent over 10 years working for the City Of Melbourne until her retirement in 2012. She is survived by the two true loves of her life, her children, Todd Cote of Weare, NH and Lindsay Cote of Melbourne, FL. Debbie is also survived by her ex-husband, Brian Cote of Weare, NH; her brother Charles Williams of Lexington, NC; and her future son-in-law, Jose Rodriguez of Orlando. She will be remembered for her independent personality, undying love for her children and the determination she put into every aspect of her life. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and family. Debbie’s dream was to find a safe place for her son, Todd, once she and his father, Brian, could no longer care for him. That dream became a reality with the creation of a community for special needs adults, Promise In Brevard.
