I am so thankful and and blessed to have known Joyce. She was in my bible study and I looked forward to being with her every Tuesday. We would sit together while we ate and in class. She added so much to our class! She would let us know the correct pronunciation of Greek names.
On the last bible study that she attended, she gave me an extra tight hug, and I will cherish that!
She will be greatly missed!

Joyce was a fine Christian woman who remained faithful to the Lord to the end. I had the joy of being in Tuesday morning Bible Studies with her at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church where she was known to read passages of scripture with deep conviction. Before class, over coffee, we would reminisce about living in Southern California (we determined our homes had been very close together) and the experience of growing pineapples in Florida! But, our strongest bond was our faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

I am one of those who had the immense privilege of getting to know Joyce during her last few years in Winter Park. She was an encouragement to all those that seek to follow Christ, and to many others, in her deep kindness, her joyful spirit, and above all: grace. The acuity of her mind was always evident and always adorned with love for God and love for others. We give thanks to God for a life of humility and faithfulness.

I praise God for Joyce. She was a a graceful lady who loved the Lord Jesus and a fountain of kindness and encouragement. I am especially grateful to God for her prayers for me as one of her pastors. Joyce will be greatly missed at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church in Orlando even as we grieve with the sure hope of seeing her again. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.

I love these two a bushel and a peck! To have Bob and Joyce in Sunday School class for the years we had was quite a blessing. Joyce was ever the foil a Sunday School teacher was graced with for accountability. I have a folder with all of her precious notes as she found something she thought would help me teach. Her book of religious quotes I have put to use every Sunday since 2012 when she gave it to me. As much as I miss her, I pray for Jesus cause He had better have the answers to her questions she’s studied so hard to find!
In Christ,
Bobby and Cathy Adams

Joyce was a dear friend and mentor to me over the four years she lived in Orlando. God gift-wrapped her in a package of grace and with ribbons of Truth. Her legacy is written in her family and her faith is written in the lives she touched with love and courage. We will miss her terribly but not for long as we cling tightly to what she always said— that “to live is Christ, and to die is gain”. Philippians 1:21

Joyce was sweet and kind, and even though I only knew her a short while towards the end of her years, she struck me as a godly, devout woman. My life was enriched by knowing her. May our Lord give you comfort as you dwell on memories of her walk with Him, and be encouraged by her excellent example.

She was many different parts of my life over the past 32 years. She was a neighbor, friend, fellow church member, my teacher and my sister in Christ. She was always quick with a smile and kind word. I’ve never known anyone who loved to study and teach God’s Word like she did. She has touched so many lives including me, my husband and both of our daughters, Amy and Amanda. Thank you!

Thank you for your decision. I’m sure you wrestled each day to make it. Your mom, sister, grand mom was one of my overall best friends. The first Bible teacher I met after moving to Florida. Her grasp of the Word and tenacity in teaching only truth as well as her desire to lead other women to a higher ground in their spiritual walk made her loved, respected and sought after as a teacher, mentor and friend. I am resting on the promises in the Word and know I will see my sister-in-Christ again.
