Obituary of Bettie Leigh Massey

Bettie joined her husband, Charles, in heaven after a long battle with her health. It was a peaceful passing at home with family and friends at her side. Born in Greenbackville, Virginia, and married in 1949, Bettie and Charles spent more than 50 years together moving from Virginia and Maryland, to Florida, North Dakota, Colorado, Montana, and Pennsylvania, and settling back in Florida in the 1980s. Bettie is survived by her sister Mary Frances Riggins of Pocomoke City, Maryland; daughters Vickie DuPont (Don) and JoEllen Krumrine (John); son Chuck Massey (Joan) of Minot, North Dakota. Bettie and Charles had nine grandchildren and four great granddaughters. The family would especially like to thank Mom’s caregivers and companions, Sandra Cambridge, Ronda Monoghan, and Patty Garrett, as well as the wonderful nurses from Vitas Hospice.
