Obituary of Jean Thom Mohr Hugh
Jean Hugh, 92, passed away February 16, 2014. She was born in Hempstead, Long Island on March 25, 1921, but grew up in Vero Beach, Florida. She served her nation during the wars working as a civil servant in many countries such as Japan, Korea, China and Europe. She was a talented artist and a friend of all creatures”.
Jean loved to travel and was considered a world traveler amongst her friends. She moved back to Florida and was one of the few to be a part of the NASA program in it’s early stages. After retiring from the Federal Government, she made it her mission to care for many of the feral cats in her area. She was very dedicated to the cats and cared for many colonies.
Jean is survived by her son, James, III; her daughter, Jeanne Marie; a grandson, James, IV; a granddaughter, Christina and four great-grandchildren, Alexis, James,V; Kylie, and Kikiella.
Arrangements entrusted to Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, Melbourne, Florida.
No service is planned at this time.
