Obituary of Gilberto Andres Fuentes

Gilberto Andres Fuentes, 80, passed away on Sunday September 8, 2019. Born in Matanzas, Cuba, he moved to the United States in 1959 where he attended junior college in Birmingham, Al. From there he would move to Troy, NY, Dayton, OH, Miami, FL, Lafayette, LA to resume his schooling, finishing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and beginning his first job after graduating at Dow Chemical Co. in Baton Rouge. From there he moved to Berlin, Germany, Clewiston, FL, Pasadena, CA, Hollywood, FL, Norcross, GA, Long Beach, CA, back to Miami, then back to California in Sherman Oaks all in pursuit of a better job and life. After retirement he returned to Titusville, then to Las Vegas, NV, and back to Titusville for the last time. To say that he had wanderlust and a lust for life is an understatement. He is preceded in death by his parents Juan Ranulfo Gilberto Fuentes, Dalia Maria Fuentes-Silvestre, and his brother Roberto Jesus Fuentes. He is survived by his 5 ex-wives, four children, Michelle, Gil, Mark and Andy, and 7 grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 pm on September 20, 2019 at Caballero Rivero – Dade South Memorial Park, 14200 SW 117th St, Miami FL, 33186.
