Jim Ford and I became great friends through the Knights of Columbus. He could always be counted on to help with anything you asked of him. For a couple years I would take him the council newsletter every month. I tried to visit Jim 2 times a month when possible. He was always there with a smile on his face. I consider it a great honor to have him as a friend. When I decided to become a 4th degree Knight, Jim asked me if I would wear his Honor Guard regalia. I did and wore it with Jim in mind every opportunity I got. Your battle is over and you are now with your Lord and Savior. May you rest in peace !!!
Your friend and buddy and partner in crime….will miss the bickering and poking fun that I so much looked forward to.

One of the kindest Knights I know.
RIP Jim. You fought the good fight, you have finished the race, you have kept the faith, you have earned your crown of righteousness.

Jim, your kindness and teaching will not be forgotten. When you helped to train me, you and Bettye and I bonded. You will be missed. Save me a place at the table! Rest in our Lord’s eternal peace.

When I think, Jim Ford, the song “This little light of Mine” comes to mind. Always a smile on his face, no matter how he was feeling, what he was doing or where he was going, his concern was always for others. He could light up the room with his smile and comforting words. When he was sick and I would come to visit, he was more concerned about how I was doing and if there was anything he could help me with. His love for his family and friends was obvious, as he spoke with pride about them and their accomplishments. With strong faith, I remember him struggling to get to Mass following his dialysis appointment.
Jim has definitely fulfilled God’s works, God saw you getting tired, When a cure was not to be, So he wrapped his arms around you, and whispered come to me.
He didn’t want you to suffer, So he gave you rest. God’s garden must be beautiful, he only takes the best!
God’s peace be with you until we meet again. Love, Lynn

His smile was the light in any room and warm words were of the mind.
Nary a complaint was ever heard
His eyes displayed his kind.
Forever now he’s of the Lord
His mind and spirit and soul
Trial and tribulation done
He’s Certain to have paid the toll.
So God’s speed to you my friend
On your journey to the Lord
Put in a good word for me and
Rest in peace Jim Ford!
Your Friend and Brother Knight. Ray Quinn
