Obituary of Robert William LaLonde

Robert (Bob) William LaLonde, 78, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, September 23, 2018. Bob was born on October 8, 1939 in Garden, Michigan. He was a member of the Operator’s Engineer Union and worked throughout the Detroit area for many years. He lived with his family in Howell, Michigan for 33 years before eventually retiring to Florida. He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Mary Lynne; daughters Victoria (Christopher) and Valerie (James). He was a most loving grandfather to Erica (Carl), Evan, Crystene, James, Kylie, Taylor, Olivia, Peyton, William and Christa, as well as three great grandchildren, Briana, Alyssa and Colton. He also leaves behind many loving friends, too numerous to mention. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Christopher Wouters. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, hunting and socializing with his many friends. He will always be remembered for his teasing spirit, incredible wit, and his kind, loving heart. A memorial service will be planned at a future date.
