Obituary of Elwood F. “Woody” Stegner
Stegner, Elwood F. (Woody), 94, died May 29, 2017 in Hudson, Fl.
Before moving to Florida, Woody resided and worked in Pendelton, NY, as a draftsman at Bell Labs and as an engineer/project manager at American Optical. Woody was an independent electrical contractor who worked with many local builders in Pendelton, NY area.
Woody was a life-long Christian and a faithful member of Christian Faith Chapel in Pendelton, NY, where he served many years as Trustee and Treasurer. After retirement he was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Melbourne where he served as recorder of Sunday offering for many years. He was always a generous volunteer of his talents and time.
His retirement years were spent at his home in Palm Bay and later Hudson, Fl. He was a Mason and member of the American Optical Management Club.
Woody is survived by his spouse of 19 years Marjorie; children Sandra Curnutt (Buddy) and Larry Stegner (Sharon); step daughter Jean Alderman (John); grandchildren Monte, Laurie, Carrie, John, Elaine, Tim and nine great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his first wife of 55 years Grace.
He will laid to rest with Grace at Fountainhead Memorial Park in Palm Bay.
