Obituary of Carol Ann Graff-Tindall
10/04/1957 – 05/30/2018
Carol was born Friday October 4th, 1957. It was the peak of the Baby Boomers, American Bandstand would make its network debut on ABC, Dwight D. Eisenhower was president, John Glenn sets the transcontinental speed record, and Elvis Presley purchases Graceland.
Her youngest years were spent in Pennsylvania until her father took a job at Kennedy Space Center and relocated the family to Rockledge, Florida. She grew up with her older sister Audrey, and brothers Dan and Dave. Carol loved to tell stories of her childhood, and the fond memories of her close nit family. Her favorite tales always centered around her father George’s sense of humor, and his love for them. Life in the Graff home was lighthearted, loving, and as Carol would reminisce laced with laughter.
As a young adult she fell in love and married John Tindall. Together they brought forth two children, Matthew and Tracy. Thanks to her mother Ruth’s faithfulness , Carol had all the makings of a great mom. Her home too was filled with laughter, adventures, and wreckless love. As a mother she had some top notch moments such as, surprising her children at their school to have lunch with them, hunting down her son when he was out too late, and countless slumber parties with her daughter doing facials and staying up all night talking.
Carol was creative and energetic. Some of her hobbies included fishing, gardening, and having a great time! Her friends were many, and she could light up a room with her presence. She was always in the here and now, keeping up with the latest fashions, and top songs on the billboard.
Not to long ago a drastic change was noticed in Carol’s memory and speech. In what seemed like a blink of an eye we were losing her to the illness of dementia. At 8:50pm on the night of May 30th, 2018 her body succumbed to the disease. Today she is remembered by her mother Ruth Graff, brothers Daniel & David Graff, sister Audrey Hemenway, and two children Matthew & Tracy. However the memory of Carol would bring a smile to the faces of those lucky enough to have called her a friend.
She will be deeply missed.
