Obituary of Richard S. Badamo
Richard Badamo died peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, December 9, 2019. He was born to Mary and Vincenzo in Brooklyn, New York on October 16, 1933.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife Josephine Badamo and his brothers and sisters.
Richard is survived by his two daughters and son-in-law – Gioanna Rosado and Angel and Rob Tatum, grandchildren, Trina, Michelle, Marco, Joseph, and Jason, and great grandchildren, Ayva, Skyler, and Alexandra.
He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. In his younger years, Richard enjoyed playing tennis, watching Jai alai, bowling, and doing puzzles. Richard loved spending time with his family. Some of his favorite pastimes were going to Disney World and Sea World with his grandson, spending time with family at BBQs, coloring Easter eggs, and decorating for Christmas. He loved cooking for his family. Some of his specialties were lamb chops, fried potatoes, and his famous soufflé eggs. He spent most of his working life as a salesman.
There will be a celebration of Richard’s life on Saturday, December 21 from 12 – 1:00 pm at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care 1001 Hickory Street, Melbourne, FL 32901. This would be a great time to share your thoughts and stories. The Mass will follow at 1:30 pm at St. Joseph Miller Street Catholic Church 1422 Miller Street NE, Palm Bay, Fl 32905. Lunch is planned at MeeMaws Bar-B-Q, 4916 Babcock St NE, Palm Bay, following the burial.
