Obituary of Diane Morris Brooks
Diane Morris Brooks, age 70, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Melbourne Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Brooks was born in High Point, North Carolina, daughter of the late Ted & Doris Morris.
She was a graduate of Allen Jay High School in 1966. She was then wed to Ronald Jack Brooks of High Point, and the two enjoyed 53 years of devoted marriage, raising three children as they moved around the country and in Europe where Ron’s military career took them. After settling in Palm Bay, FL after their military retirement, Diane began a 15-year career as a veterinary technician at Sarno Animal Hospital, then Harbor City Animal Hospital, where she was beloved by her four-legged patients and their owners alike, as well as her co-workers. Diane had a heart for all animals, bringing home and loving many unwanted pets over the years. Her compassion in that area epitomizes her loving and nurturing nature, but nowhere was she ever more focused than on her family, to whom she was devoted and by whom she was beloved.
She is survived by her husband, Ron Brooks; daughter, Sandra Brooks, sons Steven (Meg) and Sean (Stephanie) Brooks; five grandchildren, Bailey Rollins, Hayes Brooks, Jamison Brooks, Sally Brooks and Westley Brooks; sister Ann (David) Eddins; brother Teddy (Cathy) Morris; sister-in-law Amy (Mark) Clodfelter, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 27th with a visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, in Melbourne. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ASPCA or the United Service Organization (USO).
