Obituary of Hertha Marek

Melbourne, Florida–Surrounded by her loving family, Hertha Marek passed away on October 26, 2018. She was a 45 year resident of Melbourne, Florida. Preceding her in death was her husband of 50 years, Marvin Marek. Hertha is survived by her four children and their spouses, Elona Mark) Frary of Titusville, Ron (Nora) Marek of Melbourne, Ken Marek of Melbourne and Roger (Alisha) Marek of Palm Bay; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Hertha was born in 1933 in Tablitz Czechoslovakia, she and her family of six siblings were forced to re-patronize in 1944 to Germany. She is survived by her sister Lori, and two brothers Josie and Pater who still reside in Germany. She came to this country in 1956 after meeting and marrying her Army husband Marvin while he was stationed in Germany. They resided in Alpena, Michigan until they moved to Melbourne, Florida in 1973. Hertha was an avid member of the Health First Fitness Center in Melbourne where she has many dear friends. Hertha also belonged to and served the Lord as a member of New Hope Lutheran Church. Her memorial and reception will be held at New Hope Lutheran Church, 870 Hollywood Blvd. Melbourne on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 11:00am.
