Her family includes her daughters Diane Da Costa, Gail Washington, Audrey Da Costa, June Da Costa, Barbara (James) Mimms, Sharon Da Costa, Suzanne (Roger) Williams, Deborah Da Costa; sister Joan (Neville) Cossou; brothers Railton Matthews and Leon Matthews; sister Margaret (Tony) Li and Mavis (Roger) Davies; brother Cecil Matthews; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Joyce was a member of Lighthouse Assembly of God Church, active with the Salvation Army and had worked as a nurse’s aide for many years.
