Obituary of Michael Thomas Wolfe
He came into our lives earlier than we expected and we were filled with awe and wonder. He instantly filled our lives with a happiness and love beyond compare. He was a sweet and loving child who grew into and even sweeter and more loving young man.
Many people equate charity with a monetary value. But charity goes so much farther to the root of a heart that is deep and caring and is open for all those around him.
Michael Wolfe was a charitable human being and he touched so many lives in his all-too-brief 24 years.
His passion for life and the activities he loved (skateboarding being the most prevalent) rivaled that of his father+óGé¼Gäós and is evident in the memories shared by his family and friends today as we strive to find comfort in peace within each other+óGé¼Gäós arms.
We sit here today, being reminded of the sweet baby, the fun-loving child, the awkward teenager and amazing young man who touched each of us in his own unique way. Our hearts are heavy with the weight of our loss.
He was a faithful and loving father+óGé¼-ª son+óGé¼-ª brother+óGé¼-ª nephew+óGé¼-ª fianc+â-¬+óGé¼-ª grandson and friend. He was never too shy to look at the person standing in front of him and tell them, with such genuine affection, that he loved them.
Our Love. Our Joy. Our Light.
Today the light and the flame that is Michael is dimmed and flickering +óGé¼GÇ£ but only temporary. We join our hearts and arms together and lift Michael up to set him free from his earthly dwelling and watch him fly into the sky, joining his father among the bright stars that shine down on us from Heaven.
And, just as he came into our lives, so has he left our lives much much earlier than we expected. We miss him. We weep. Instead of awe and wonder, we are now filled with sorrow and grief. It is our firm belief, however, that in the wake of Michael+óGé¼Gäós life he would want us to know love. To know charity. To strive to fill others with awe and wonder +óGé¼GÇ£ intertwining our hearts with all those whom we meet on this journey that we call life. And, through his son, whom he+óGé¼Gäós entrusted with his love and care, he has passed on a sweetness that is beyond compare.
Michael is preceded in death by his father, Thomas D. Wolfe. He leaves behind his son, John D. Wolfe; mother, Dawn Wolfe; brother, Brad Wolfe; sister, Sydni Wolfe; Fianc+â-¬, Ali Petkus; two sets of grandparents and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.A service to remember and honor the life of Michael Thomas Wolfe, will be at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at River Run Christian Church, 1660 Croton Road, Melbourne.
