Obituary of Edward L. Shepherd

Edward L. Shepherd, age 92, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2019. He was born in Union City, New Jersey on July 3, 1927 to Edward and Lillian Shepherd, both whom preceded him in death. Edward owned Tradeskills Inc. He built many homes in the Brevard and Sebastian area after working for many years in North Miami. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Helen; daughter, Wendy Bridges; son, Wayne Shepherd; stepson, Bob Lloyd; brother, Donald Shepherd and sister, Ruth Shepherd Nagel. He was also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his son, Gary; daughter, Charlene and his brother George. Ed was active in Alcoholics Anonymous for over 60 years, and helped a lot of people during his time there. Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. followed by his funeral service with military honors rendered by the US Navy Honor Guard at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 1001 S. Hickory Street, in Melbourne. Edward was a proud and honorable veteran of the United States Navy. He will be laid to rest at a later date at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida.
