Obituary of Denis D. Flaherty

Denis D. Flaherty, 84, passed away Monday, June 13, 2016. Denis was born July 11, 1931 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Thomas and Daisy Flaherty. He was a Marine Corps veteran and a retired firefighter for the City of Pittsburgh. His family includes his wife of 30 years, Barbara; his children Patrick Flaherty, Denis Flaherty, Kathy Thomas, Erin Wilson, Jamie Wright, Shannon Flaherty and and Aymi Flaherty; sixteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Flaherty and a daughter, Lorraine Gianella. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 10:00 am at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 950 Malabar Road SE, Palm Bay. Interment with Marine Corps honors will follow the service at 1:30 PM at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 Highway 1, Mims.
