Obituary of Robert Eugene Bingel
Robert Eugene Bingel Sr. of Melbourne Beach, FL passed away at age 88 at William Childs Hospice House peacefully surrounded by loved ones Sunday, March 20, 2016.
Mr. Bingel was born November 14, 1927 in Buffalo, New York and graduated from East High School. He began his career as a route salesman for Swift & Co. Meats and went on to become a successful entrepreneur. He operated several businesses in Western New York, including a contract trucking and fleet maintenance business, Robert E. Bingel Inc. / REB Rentals, Inc. Clients included the Peter J. Schmitt Company, Bells supermarkets and Twin Fair stores.
He spent much of his retired life in Florida as the patriarch of his large family. He was lovingly known by them as “Big Dad.” His hobbies included traveling, tennis, and boating, as well as spending time with his cherished pets Baby, Dollie, and Dixie, who he affectionately referred to as “the girls.+óGé¼-¥
He is survived by beloved wife, Jane M. Bingel; children, Robert E. Bingel Jr. (Karen Molzen), Bryan (Lauren) Bingel, Denise Faucher, and Douglas Faucher; grandchildren,+é-áRobert III (Tamera) and Justin (Melissa) Bingel, Brieanne (Kevin) Brown, Nathan Rogers, Courtney (Esperanza) Burks, Christian (Emily) Kosmoski, Danielle (Joseph) Rademacher, Brittany-Jayne (John) Englert Jr., Bethanie (Bryon) Moore, Caemeron (Leanna) Bitzer, Bonneigh Bitzer, and Dana Faucher; and lastly his twelve great grandchildren, Lyla, Dalton and Ally Brown, Gavin and Oliver Burks, Grace, Caleb, and Lily Kosmoski, Gabriel and Hadley Rademacher, Charlee-Jayne Englert, and Peyton Moore.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lois (Wiese); son, David Faucher; parents, Nelson (Jean) Bingel; daughter, Darlene Kosmoski; and brother, Nelson (Alma) Bingel Jr.
