Obituary of George Benjamin Snyder
George was born in Milton, PA on March 11th 1924 and on February 5th 2017 he picked up his robe and crown and went home to spend eternity with his Lord and savior Jesus Christ and to be reunited with his beloved wife Betty.
Some of his life accomplishments were: He joined the Navel Air Corps during the Pacific Ocean Theater WWII as a Ball Turret Gunner abroad Married Betty Jean Thompson, Proud father of his daughter Ann. He was a founding member (# 939) of the Azan Shrine Temple in Melbourne, Florida
32nd degree Mason with Cocoa Beach Masonic Lodge. George worked for Pan-American as a diesel mechanic during the Gemini and Apollo Missions at Kennedy Space Center , was a former member of a traveling Square Dance Team, avid motor cyclist Chief; Cape Canaveral Volunteer Fire Department
Volunteered at the Cocoa Beach Playhouse
Survivors include daughter Ann Snyder Nickel (Bob Nickel) granddaughter Jennifer Johnston (fiancé Chris Hayes) and two great grandchildren Braden Hayes and Chloe Hayes.
Celebration of life will be held Thursday February 9th @3:00 pm. at the Faith Lutheran Church 280 E. Merritt Ave. Merritt Island, FL 32953
